Vatican City, a city-state surrounded by Rome, Italy, is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church.  It's Museums house many ancient Roman sculptures such as the famed “Laocoön and His Sons” as well as Renaissance frescoes in the Raphael Rooms; and the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo’s ceiling.

The two must-see sights are St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, located in Vatican City.  St. Peter’s Basilica, begun by Pope Julius II in 1506 and completed a hundred years later in 1615 under Paul V.   It is designed as a three-aisled Latin cross with a Dome at the crossing, directly above the high alter, which covers the shrine of St. Peter the Apostle.

This "Vatican City at Night'' image captures the pearly white pillars of St. Peter's Basilica in the background.  The warm glow of lamplights draw your attention around the courtyard.  Add this spectacular Italian architecture image to your home, office or cubicle.  Your image will be printed using high-quality papers with a high color accuracy, which guarantees that your prints will last a lifetime without fading.
